As well as measuring the space required for your new fridge, make sure to check doorway, hallway and access point clearances when bringing your new fridge into your home.

Fridge Cavity Clearance Options

FIT LOOK

  • Snug width fit with minimal side gaps each side.
  • Closed doors protrude from cabinetry.

Closed fridge doors need to protrude from surrounding cabinetry a minimum of the depth of the closed doors (FP) to allow the doors to open freely.

If your cabinetry depth can accommodate Back Wall (BW) clearance + Depth without the door (D), the minimum protrusion required will be the (FP) specified above.

FLUSH LOOK

  • Larger side gaps to allow doors to open within cavity.
  • Closed doors do not protrude from cabinetry.

When closed, the fridge can sit flush within the cavity, while still allowing the doors to open freely, provided cabinetry width can accommodate both the fridge Width (A) + required Side Gaps (SG)

If your cabinetry depth can accommodate (BW) Back Wall clearance + Depth inc door (F), your fridge will sit fully within the cavity when closed.
